
Cine Yorkshire's spring 2013 film programme is here, featuring more than 100 screenings at venues across North and East Yorkshire. We’re delighted to welcome Gargrave Village Hall and Rainton Village Hall in North Yorkshire & Market Weighton Community Centre in East Yorkshire to join Cine Yorkshire’s village hall programme, presented in partnership with Blaize and ArtERY.
Our programme reflects the diversity of our audience, with this season's highlights including world cinema favourites Untouchable & The Kid With A Bike, made in Yorkshire classics Kes & This Sporting Life and recent box office hits Skyfall and Midnight In Paris. There are also acclaimed documentaries, such as Marley and Senna, plus kids favourites, Brave and The Adventures of Tin Tin and nostalgic silver screen presentations of Road To Singapore and The Happiest Days of Your Life.
Our Cine Yorkshire Live strand continues to delight North Yorkshire audiences, with regular sell out live broadcasts of world class theatre, opera and ballet at Helmsley Arts Centre, Selby Town Hall and Galtres Centre Easingwold. Upcoming performances for spring 2013 include: NT Live productions People and This House, Bolshoi Ballet performances The Rite of Spring and Romeo & Juliet and Royal Opera House London productions Eugene Onegin and Nabucco.
For those of you who live nearby, don't forget to keep an eye on Cine Yorkshire's Digital venues, Hambleton Forum in Northallerton and Whitby Pavilion, who screen the very latest box office hits, with film programmes updated on a monthly basis.
Cine Yorkshire is a project delivered by the National Media Museum and Blaize with support from the BFI, Creative England and Screen Yorkshire. The project has been bringing the latest in digital cinema a live event broadcasts to community venues across Yorkshire and beyond, screening over 1119 screenings to 47,495 people since it launched in 2010.
