In 1865, as the American Civil War winds toward conclusion, Lincoln endeavours to achieve the passing of the landmark constitutional amendment that will ban slavery from the United States forever. His task however is a race against time, for peace may come at any moment. The President has a choice to make: to end slavery or end the war.
